Every time my partner and I are in Toronto, we make a special trip to Hamilton just to enjoy their simple vegetable thali and pick up some spicy cashews. This time, we noticed they’ve made some renovations, adding a lot more space and even washrooms, which is a nice improvement. The vegetable thali remains consistently good and is very reasonably priced. However, they're now serving it in non-stainless steel thalis, which, in my opinion, takes away a bit of the authentic Indian dining experience. The food itself hasn’t changed, though—still as delicious as ever. We also tried their mushroom tikka this time. It could have used a bit more spice and salt, but overall, it was okay. It seemed like they were a bit short-staffed, as there was only one server and the food arrived later than usual. However, given the recent expansion, this could be a temporary issue. We’re hopeful that things will improve and we’ll continue to enjoy coming back to this restaurant.

I’ve been visiting Himalya for the last 7 to 8 years. Their Channa Bhatura, Channa Puri, Samosas, and Rasmalai are the best you will find in Hamilton. This time I tried their Veg Thali, Veg Parantha and Paneer Parantha. Veg Thali was pretty good, the paranthas are okay-ish. They don’t serve butter or achar with the parantha by default. You have the option to get parantha with dahi, but it costs extra (prices in the menu). Service/atmosphere - the service is a bit slow. They have renovated and added more seating space recently. The new area is nice with clean washrooms.

I just wanted to say I find it hard to believe the review from shad sidd. I have been coming here for over 10 years and I find it extremely hard to believe he had such a poor experience with so many things. In fact I just came here few days with family and the food was amazing like always. The quality hasn’t changed. The store even expanded and looks amazing. The food is delicious, like finger licking good. I will continue being a loyal himalya customer. They still have the best samosas in town that I’ve ever had and their green chutney to die for

Excellent Jalebi. Ras Malai is also good. Gulab Jaman is nice. Microwave the jalebi / gulab jaman for 15 seconds & you will love it. Seemed only like a sweets shop. But we will visit again to try other food items.
